Water Conservation & Restrictions
SWW has adopted water conservation guidelines similar to
CRD water restrictions.
Restrictions are in force May 1 until September 30.
No lawn watering at this time.
Established trees, shrubs, vegetable and flower gardens may be watered by hand using a hose with a shut-off device or hand-held container, or micro-drip irrigation system on a timer, any day at any time, but please avoid the hottest part of the day for maximum efficiency.
Automatic and regular sprinklers may only be used during restricted watering times. A person with a new lawn (either newly seeded or new sod) may water outside of the permitted days but within restricted hours (49 days for seed, 21 days for sod). As before, residential swimming pools and hot tubs may not be filled at any time.
